VIAGRA, a Viagra brand-name for men, is a prescription drug

Johnson, 45, a pharmacist at The Associated Press, has just won a Ph. D. at the University of Texas at Austin. Now Johnson is in the process of filing a patent and is testing a new drug to treat erectile dysfunction.

The new drug, called VIAGRA, would be similar to Viagra (sildenafil), the little blue pill that helped millions of men get and keep erections.

The little blue pill, which is VIAGRA for men, is a prescription drug that's been around for many years. The original patent for the drug was for its ability to treat a rare heart problem called or left ventricular hypertrophy.

VIAGRA is the first of two drugs Johnson is testing that could help men with erectile dysfunction. The other is called Erectegrin, or anorexicordial (or erectile) drug. The researchers in The Associated Press have submitted VIAGRA to the FDA and are looking for any information or publications on how it works. The results of their research may have been of value to Johnson, the AP said in a release.

VIAGRA and Erectegrin are both currently under study as treatments for men with erectile dysfunction. The drug is also being tested as a treatment for a new heart problem called or left ventricular hypertrophy.

The AP said VIAGRA and Erectegrin are currently in Phase II studies. The drug is not yet approved for patients, but The Associated Press hopes to get the approval before the first of October.
